The Remnant? What kind'a name is that?
Some people have asked that very question! They wonder where this name originated from and why it was chosen as the band's name.
Carl chose this name from the Word of God, which is used many times to identify those who are called out from among the people. The Bible speaks of a remnant who "...has not bowed the knee to Baal." It fits with the purpose and message of the music ministry and so was chosen as the band name.
In Revelation it speaks of the Remnant as well,
"And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. " - Revelation 12:17
This will occur during the time when satan sits in the temple of God pretending to be Jesus. (2nd Thessalonains, Chapter 2.)

Webster defines it as such:
REM'NANT,
1. Residue; that which is left after the separation, removal or destruction of a part.
2. That which remains after a part is done, performed, told or passed.
a. Remaining; yet left.
